ADHD Medication Side Effect - Weight Loss

ADD / ADHD Medications have many side effects like depression, suicidal thoughts, tics, unable to sleep and many others.  Weight Loss for most people consider that a bonus instead of a side effect.

A study about this particular side effect was conducted with obese individuals that could not seem to loose weight.  They were found that out of all the individuals attending the weight loss clinic that over 1/3 had ADD or ADHD.  With those on medication able now to control some of their symptoms they were better able to stick to a diet and focus on losing weight.   Those not on the ADD / ADHD medication increased in weight during that same time period.

Controlling your brainwave activity, impulses and general behavior helps improve all aspects of your body's well-being.  For long term weight loss, which is what everyone wants, will unfortunately always included ADD medication.  Once the medicine wears off then the symptoms return and weight gain begins again.  ADD medication combined with therapy is the route to achieving long term weight loss goals.
